How much water should be use to cook rice?

Use the measuring cup to guide the capacity of the rice, and the scale on the inner pot to guide how much water should be put. For example, put 1 measuring cup of raw rice, meanwhile, you need put water to the mark of "1" on the inner pot.

How to close the rice cooker?

The machine will come into keep warm mode automatically after it finishes cooking, the purpose is for keeping rice ready to serve. You need to disconnect the power cord or unplug it to close the machine.

Why is there water coming out of the steam vent when cooking rice?

I like the price, the small capacity, the simplicity of two buttons (one to open, one to cook), the beautiful design and options of colors, its easy to clean, comes with everything you need, directions in English, packaging was elegant. It cooks quickly. You can cook other things in it as well. , boils in about 3 minutes. This is the perfect size for me to take with me for work, travel, r.v. , just anywhere I need rice, or whatever.
One thing you should know before you cook anything other than rice in this. It is made for rice. So if you put a soup, or rice porridge in it expecting it to switch to warm when it is ready, don't. You will ruin your soup or Porridge. It is a rice cooker. It will cook expecting you put rice in it. So it will not stop until the weight is lighter, and the liquid evaporated. So . If you use this for anything other than rice, you must watch it. Other than that it is excellent. I do not count that though since it is a rice cooker, and not a crock pot.

I love my little rice cooker. It makes the perfect 2 cups of rice for 2. I have cooked sushi rice, long grain and jasmine rice in it and it works really well.
It’s so compact and easy to store. The only downside is you can’t keep rice sitting in it on warm for too long. It’s a small, cheap cooker not meant for leftover rice the next day. Unlike the high-quality Cuckoo rice cookers that can be left on for days. I would be very careful about leaving it on for too long. Well priced for what it does.

This rice cooker is small enough for a single person or a couple. It makes a reasonable amount of perfectly cooked rice. However, there are a few things to note. First, I have not made a maximum amount of rice (or other items) because I have been still testing it at small amounts with only a few attempts that did not spew water from the steam vent. I have tried rice, oatmeal, and pasta with great success in the cooking quality and taste. However, almost every time when the water inside gets hot, the steam vent will bubble up the water out of the cooker. I have had to make sure that the area under and around the cooker is clear and able to withstand hot water. I am afraid to put a towel underneath it or even around it as the het vents are on the bottom of the device. I have reduced the amount of water and only made small portions to some degree of success. I have read that putting a teaspoon of oil in the water for pasta will stop the foaming, so I will try similar methods for rice and oatmeal. Also, when the rice is done cooking, the insertable container is extremely hot and it is not advisable to remove it with unprotected hands. It sits relatively flush with the rim, so even using pot holders is difficult to grab. The heat safe ladle that comes with it helps get the hot food out of the container even when it is in the cooker, but it is awkward. I would have preferred some detachable handle be included so that it can latch onto the container and aid in its removal. Cleaning is difficult when the water and liquid gets around the hinge of the top, even if the ridge on the rim usually keeps the electronics safe. I recommend investing in Q-Tips to clean out the area by the hinge that is not easily reached any other way. On a good note, the non-stick surface of the cooking container makes for easy cleanup of that part. The seal in the lid needs removed to wipe down and clean and the rubber gasket needs special attention to make sure that it doesn't fall off, but is cleaned correctly. I would have give it 3 stars for design, but it does produce perfectly cooked rice and other foods. So it does its job.

Doesn't take up a lot of space. East to use and easy to clean. Perfect rice every time (I have even cooked zaterans yellow rice box mix in it) If you are cooking for 1-4 people it is the perfect size. (if you can each eat a cup of cooked rice a piece than maybe it's perfect for two people per use). I have recommended this one to all my adult sons!

Got this rice cooker to replace my much older and larger one which had started burning the rice on the bottom resulting in waste. This rice cooker cooks rice well and is easy to use. Rice does not stick to the ceramic coated pot. Takes up little space. No need to add extra water for brown rice, but it does take longer to cook than white rice. One cup brown rice took approximately 60 minutes. There is no total time indicator for cooking. The timer only turns on when there is 5 minutes remaining. Wish the detachable cord was a bit longer to keep the rice cooker and steam further away from the cabinets. Also need to be careful scooping out the rice as the rice container is small, hot and can spin if not held in place. Overall, pleased with this rice cooker. Sure is cute. Got a good deal with 20% off coupon.

The rice maker is ideal for small spaces. Yes, I know is only 2 rice cups, but we love that because we always eat freshly cooked rice.
Solid assembly and the design looks nice in the kitchen (compared with other rice makers in the market).
The only reason why I gave 4 stars is because once the rice is cooked it keep warming the rice and the only way to turn this off, is unplugging it.
